Position Summary
General support functions for International Moving Services Operations. Responsible for shipment tracing, data entry, documentation handling (preparing, collecting, distributing & saving to SISTRS), & downstream cost containment for HHG's international shipments. Will have regular contact with Coordinators, Agents, Vendors and Port Brokers.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
40(%) Shipment Tracing: Through shipment prompts, confirming events occurred and then updating ProMove and the IMC accordingly.
30(%) Documentation Handling: Responsible for arranging all shipping documents & processing with Coordinators, Agents, Vendors and Port Brokers and uploading to SISTRS database.
20(%) Keep Coordinators, Agents, Vendors and Port Brokers informed of status changes in a timely manner.
10(%) Other duties as assigned, including communications, desk coverage, and registering files as needed.

Qualifications
  • HS Degree
  • Undergraduate Degree Preferred
  • Fluent In English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Well organized
  • Detail Oriented
  • Excellent Communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment where work direction will be provided by multiple people (Matrix Environment)
  • 1-2 Years of customer service or transportation experience preferred
Primary Tasks
Sea
  • File ISF & clear error, if applicable
  • Check if shipment sailed
  • Send Customs DP Pre-alert
  • Confirm import docs received by broker
  • Confirms Vessel Arrival
  • Confirm customs entry submitted
  • Confirm container pick up from point of entry
  • Confirm shipment arrived at Destination Agent’s warehouse
  • Confirm Last free day of container
  • Confirm empty container ready for pick up
  • Confirm empty returned on time
  • Upload Agent & Vendor communication emails to SISTRS platform
  • Collect signed delivery docs
Air
  • Check if flight departed
  • Send Destination DP pre alert and documents to Customs broker
  • Confirm Flight Arrival
  • Confirm customs entry submitted
  • Send Transmittal letter to the Destination Agent
  • Confirm shipment picked up from airport
  • Confirm shipment arrived at Destination Agent’s warehouse
  • Upload Agent & Vendor communication emails to SISTRS platform
  • Collect signed delivery docs
